State Minister Unlu Removed From Office

ANKARA - The decree on removal of State Minister Fikret Unlu from office will be submitted to the Cankaya Presidential Palace for approval of President Ahmet Necdet Sezer on Saturday.
Prime Ministry Press Adviser Cem Avci announced the decision on removal of Unlu from office as Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit was holding a meeting with ministers from the Democratic Left Party (DSP).
Avci said that the decree on removal of State Minister Unlu from office will be sent to the Cankaya Presidential Office for approval of President Sezer.
Erdogan Toprak will be appointed as the new state minister for youth and sports.
Sources said that Prime Minister Ecevit called President Sezer on the phone, and got approval of President Sezer about removal of Unlu.
