''12 Dev Adam'' To Carry Turkish Exporters On Their Shoulders

BURSA - ''12 Dev Adam'' (12 Giant Men) who will represent Turkey during the World Basketball Championship finals in the U.S. city of Indianapolis on Aug. 29-Sept. 8, will also carry Turkish exporters on their shoulders.
Uludag Exporters' Association told the A.A that the Foreign, Tourism and Culture ministries will organize a series of promotional activities to promote Turkey in the city. The Tourism Ministry will place ads on 55 city buses and at the bordering of the basketball court. The Culture Ministry will organize folkloric dances performances, concerts and handcraft exhibitions.
On the third day of the championship, on Aug. 31, at a park near the sports hall, Turkish exporters will distribute products that represent the Turkish culture as dried apricots, hazelnuts and Turkish delight. Turkish flags, keyrings, t-shirts and hats will also be distributed to people in the area. The exporters are expected to make business contacts during the activity.
