Ercan Karakas Joins Y.T.P.

ISTANBUL - Social Democracy Foundation (SODEV) Chairman Ercan Karakas joined New Turkey Party (YTP) on Friday with a press conference held in YTP headquarters in Istanbul.
YTP leader Ismail Cem said in the conference that they will work together with Ercan Karakas who has a privileged position for them and added that they know Karakas' ideal for Turkish policy.
Cem explained that Karakas is representing the contemporary social democrat personality and applying this to his life, and added that participation of Karakas would add them strength.
Cem also said that their aim was to form a coalition with the society, people, retired, teacher, worker, and all parts of the society, not with usual, old parties.
Ercan Karakas in his part said that Turkey is stopped up and it needs a new step forward, and renewal and added that it is not possible to take the new steps with the old understanding of parties and leaders.
