De Soto, Hannay And Weston To Hold Contacts In T.R.N.C.

LEFKOSA - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) will host high-level officials prior to beginning of the six round of direct talks process between President Rauf Denktas of TRNC and Greek Cypriot leader Glafcos Clerides on August 27, and the meeting among President Denktas, Clerides and United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan in Paris on September 6.
United Nations Secretary General Annan's Special Envoy to Cyprus Alvaro de Soto will come to the island on August 26. He will hold separate meetings with President Denktas and Clerides.
Lord David Hannay, the special representative of Britain to Cyprus, will hold contacts on the island between September 1 and 2. Prior to his visit to Cyprus, Hannay will pay visits to Ankara and Athens.
Hannay is scheduled to come together with President Denktas at a luncheon on September 1. Hannay and Denktas will hold a second meeting on September 2.
Meanwhile, U.S. State Department's Special Coordinator to Cyprus Thomas Weston is expected to pay a visit to Cyprus in September.
