Sezer Calls On Drivers And Pedestrians To Be More Sensitive And Careful And To Obey Traffic Rules

ANKARA - President Ahmet Necdet Sezer said on Monday that every individual is obliged to fulfil his or her responsibilities and duties to prevent traffic accidents and called on everybody to obey traffic rules.
The President released a message through the Presidential Press Center and expressed his sorrow over death of tens of people and injuries in traffic accidents happened in Tarsus town of southern province of Tarsus and in eastern province of Erzincan on Sunday and in several places in recent past.
''Despite all the warnings and efforts, traffic accidents that cannot be prevented are one of the greatest problems facing our nation. Sadly, our nation faces new pain every day and tens of people die in an instant,'' the President said.
President Sezer said, ''each of Turkish citizens is obliged to fulfil his or her responsibilities and duties to prevent traffic accidents. I call on drivers and passengers to be more careful and sensitive and to obey the traffic rules.''
