33 People Died, 36 Others Injured In Traffic Accident In Tarsus

TARSUS - Death toll increased to 33 in traffic accident which happened in Damlama region in Tarsus on TEM motorway. Number of those injured in the accident was announced as 36.
Mersin Acting Security Chief Akin Kucukbarak said the bus, carrying those who returned from the activities to commemorate Haci Bektas Veli, overturned in Damlama region killing 33 people and injuring 36 others.
Kucukbarak said efforts are underway to determine the identities of those killed and injured in the accident.
Meanwhile, six automobiles coming from the opposite side made chain-reaction accident as the bus overturned and fell the other lane.
Nobody died in this accident.
