ISTANBUL - Ak Party leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday that ''we must end regional, ethnic and religious nationalism and we must get united under the common identity of Turkish citizenship.''
Addressing the ''Hacý Bektas Veli Commemoration Meeting'' organized by World Ehl-i Beyt Foundation, AK Party leader Erdogan said that there should not be discrimination among people due to their being Sunni-Alewi, due to regionalism, hostility to capital, disrespectfulness to labor and manipulation of religion. ''This country is ours,'' he said.
Felicity Party (SP) leader Recai Kutan said in his part that the country has great difficulties in political, economic and social aspects, adding that one has to follow the path drawn by personalities such as Mevlana Jalaladdin Rumi and Hacý Bektas Veli to solve these problems.
