NEW YORK - Three Turkish origin candidates will run in the Congressional and gubernatorial elections in November, it was reported on Thursday.
In the elections, Osman Bengur will run for a seat in the House of Representatives, and Tarkan Ocal and Jak Karako respectively will run for seats in Florida state Assembly and New York state Assembly.
Turkish-American Associations Federation (TADF) Chairman Egemen Baris called on the Turkish community in the United States to help the candidates. He also stated that the Armenian Federation in the United States started efforts to prevent Bengur from being elected and he asked the Turkish community's support.
