ANKARA (A.A) - 06.08.2002 - The election calendar, which the Supreme Election Board (YSK) determined to implement on November 3, 2002 general elections, was published in Today's Offical Gazette.
According to the calendar determined by the YSK, the election period will start on August 7 for the elections that will be held on November 3, 2002.
The civil servants, who will be a candidate in the elections, will request to leave their posts till August 8 the latest.
Lists of voters will be announced on August 9 to be updated.
Those who will be independent parliamentarians should apply to election board on September 11 the latest.
Propaganda talks of the political parties will start from radio and tv on October 27, and end on November 2.
The YSK also decided Turkish citizens who live abroad could cast votes in customs gates unless the legal arrangement envisaged in Article 67 of the Constitution is made.
