ANKARA (A.A) - 05.08.2002 - Felicity Party (SP) leader Recai Kutan has said that his party was not looking for an alliance at the moment adding that they might consider an alliance once the right conditions occur.
''We aren't looking for an alliance at the moment but this doesn't mean that we won't consider it when the right conditions occur. We'll decide according to the conditions,'' Kutan told reporters. He also remarked that they hadn't contacted any party and they stayed at equal distance to all parties.
SP Deputy Chairman Mehmet Bekaroglu said that at their group meeting, they discussed election preparations and the consequences of a possible U.S. operation against Iraq.
Bekaroglu said that this operation is a ''war'' and that noone can do this to change the regime of another country.
''Turkey has to change its economic system in the coming days. It has to switch from speculation economy to production economy,'' he also commented.
