Er - Bakir Company Produces Cables For Nasa

DENIZLI (A.A) - 04.08.2002 - Er-Bakir company based in western province of Denizli has begun to produce cable for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
Er-Bakir Director General Mujdat Kececi told the A.A correspondent on Sunday, ''our factory started its production in 1985. It was ranked 84th in the Istanbul Chamber of Industry's (ISO) list of 500 major companies of Turkey.''
''We have been exporting cables to Britain and Germany in Europe, Syria and Iraq in the Middle East, and to North African countries. We have been marketing our products in the United States through a company of which capital belongs to us. NASA is among our customers,'' he said.
He said, ''we produce electronic copper by electrolizing scrap copper and copper ore. We produce 3 thousand 500 different types of cable. Our annual production is about 150 thousand tonnes with our 305 personnel. Our annual sales reached 130 million U.S. dollars. Our export income increased to 51 million U.S. dollars.''
