Inflation Rates

ANKARA (A.A) - 03.08.2002 - The State Institute of Statistics (DIE) announced on Saturday that wholesale prices increased by 2.7 percent and consumer prices rose by 1.4 percent in July of 2002 compared to prices in June of 2002.
DIE said that the annual inflation rate in July was 45.9 percent in wholesale prices and 41.3 percent in consumer prices.
The inflation rate in the January-July period of 2002 was 15.5 percent in wholesale prices and 13.6 percent in consumer prices.
Meanwhile, according to 12-month averages as of July 2002, inflation rate was 69.1 percent in wholesale prices and 58.4 percent in consumer prices.
In July of 2002, annual inflation rate became 19.5 percent in wholesale prices and 15 percent in consumer prices.
