Countdown Clock Across Parliament's Gate

ANKARA (A.A) - 02.08.2002 - The ''Europe Movement 2002'' started the countdown for the European Union's (EU) Copenhagen Summit at which opening date of accession negotiations may be given to Turkey, with a clock they put across the Cankaya Gate of the Parliament on Friday.
The clock which reminds MPs that only 132 days left for the Copenhagen Summit aims to draw deputies' attention to importance of ''time'' for works on the EU adjustment bills. The clock's countdown will end on December 12, 2002.
The countdown clock which calls on MPs to take necessary political steps until the Copenhagen Summit that will start on December 12 was put across the Parliament's Cankaya Gate with support of the Association of Businessmen and Industrialists in Ankara (ASIAD).
