ANKARA (A.A) - 02.08.2002 - Parliament's decision to hold the early elections on November 3, 2002, was issued in the Official Gazette on Friday.
The Official Gazette said, ''during its 123rd session on July 31, 2002, the Parliamentary General Assembly decided to hold the early elections. 449 deputies cast their votes in favor of holding the early election while 62 deputies cast their votes against it. Meanwhile, three deputies abstained from voting.''
In accordance with the Constitution, interior, justice and transportation ministers will leave their offices, and independent ministers will be appointed to these posts.
The Higher Election Board (YSK) will determine the election schedule, and announce it.
