Japanese Cyclists In Cappadocia

NEVSEHIR (A.A) - 27.07.2002 - A total of 36 Japanese cyclists between the ages of 40 and 60 started the Turkish stage of their historic Silk Road tour in Cappadocia on Saturday.
Miura Tadayuki from the Japanese Association to Get to Know the World said that they started their Silk Road tour in China in 1991 and since then they travelled to the countries where the road passes through.
The cyclists who are in advanced stages of their profession or retired people are staying seven to ten days in every country. They will ride about 110 kilometers in Turkey.
The Japanese cyclists will pass through Aksaray, Ankara, Eskisehir, Bursa and Istanbul. The cyclists are expected to complete their Silk Road tour in 2011.
