ANKARA (A.A) - 27.07.2002 - Felicity Party (SP) leader Recai Kutan said on Saturday it was unfair for Social Democrat People Party (SHP) not to attend the early elections.
Kutan said that political parties which are represented in the parliament have to take stance against this injustice.
SHP leader Murat Karayalcin visited SP leader Recai Kutan the same day in order to ask him for support to the participation of his party in the early elections planned to be held on November 3.
Karayalcin said in the meeting that they would not attend the elections under Article 39 of the Political Parties Act, adding that he asked Kutan for support to the studies undertaken to make SHP take part in the elections.
Karayalcin stressed that SHP's not taking part in the elections will be a big injustice and the national will won't be totally reflected to the parliament.
Kutan said in his part that they would extend support to regulations aiming to make SHP take part in the early elections.
Upon a question, Karayalcin said that his party wanted the leftist parties to form an alliance before the elections and form a coalition government at the end of elections.
