Gokalp Says Organic Agriculture Law Will Soon Pass

KELKIT (A.A) - 27.07.2002 - Agriculture and Rural Affairs Minister Husnu Yusuf Gokalp has said that the Organic Agriculture Law will soon pass.
Speaking about organic agriculture in the foundation laying ceremony of Aydin Dogan Organic Agriculture Products Industry and Trade Felicities, Gokalp said that organic agriculture was the main support of eco-tourism, a sustainable development, and that it was an effective method to fight against erosion, deforestation and climate changes.
The agricutlure minister stated that Turkey was one of the 100 countries which have organic agriculture.
Dogan HOlding Executive Council Chairman Aydin Dogan said that this was a big project that would bring added value to Turkey.
