LONDON (A.A) - 27.07.2002 - While efforts continue in the United States to topple Saddam Hussein's administration in Iraq, Iraqi opposition groups continue to get organized in several part of the world.
A new political party called Iraqi Turkmen Democratic Party announced its establishment in a fax message recently sent to newspapaers and news agencies in London.
Party leader Ahmet Gunes harshly criticized Saddam's regime and his cruel policies and he remarked that Turkmens suffered most from the sanctions that were imposed on Iraq, although the sanctions were based on rightful reasons.
The party said that they would give all kinds of support to destroy the Saddam administration.
''We are against splitting of the Iraqi land. We recognize the existence of the Kurdish community but we are against the establishment of an independent Kurdish state in any region of Iraq. We support a fedarative solution that covers all ethnic groups in Iraq,''Gunes said.
