Turkish Jewellery To Be Exhibited In New York

ISTANBUL (A.A) - A total of 36 Turkish companies, under the organization of Istanbul Mine and Metals Exporters Associations, will attend JA New York / U.S.A Jewellery Fair on July 28-31.
The participating companies will display authentic jewellery at the Turkish stand which will cover 453 square meters.
Istanbul Mine and Metals Exporters Associations Secretary General Mutlu Oktem said that he expected the Turkish companies to make mportant export contacts during the fair and the organization would increase Turkey's share in the U.S. jewellery market.
Oktem indicated that Turkey, with its annual production of 200 tons of gols, was one of the first five countries in the world which process the highest amount of gold. He said that the jewellery sector was one of Turkey's largest industrial branches.
Turkey's revenues from gold jewellery export last year was 430 million USD.
