ANKARA (A.A) - 23.07.2002 - True Path Party (DYP) leader Tansu Ciller said on Tuesday, ''during today's meeting, I told Prime Minister Ecevit that the DYP would support the decision on holding early elections on November 3, approval of the adjustment laws with the European Union (EU) and amendments to the Election Law and the Political Parties Law.''
Addressing journalists following her one-hour meeting with Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit, Ciller said, ''the DYP has given priority to the early elections. We will support holding the early elections on November 3. Later, the parliament should debate the adjustment laws with the EU and the amendments to the Election Law and the Political Parties Law.''
Ciller added, ''I did not get any impression that Prime Minister Ecevit is planning to step down.''
