Jose Carreras Gives A Concert In Ancient City Of Ephesus

IZMIR (A.A) - 21.07.2002 - Worldwide famous tenor Jose Carreras gave a concert in the theatre in the ancient city of Ephesus at Saturday night within the framework of the 16th International Izmir Festival organized by Izmir Culture, Art and Education Foundation (IKSEV).
Festival Orchestra conducted by David Gimenez accamponied Carreras during the concert.
Culture Minister Suat Caglayan, Izmir Governor Alaaddin Yuksel, Izmir Mayor Ahmet Piristina, Aegean Army Commander General Hursit Tolon, National Intelligence Agency (MIT) Undersecretary Senkal Atasagun, some deputies, Izmir Chamber of Commerce Chairman Ekrem Demirtas and a number of guests watched the concert.
Carreras received a standing applause at the end of the concert.
