Turkey Pleased With Bosnia - Herzegovina Summit And Joint Declaration

ANKARA (A.A) - 19.07.2002 - Turkey was pleased with the summit meeting held by members of Presidential Council of Bosnia-Herzegovina, and heads of state of Yugoslavia and Croatia, in Sarajevo on July 15, 2002.
A statement of the Foreign Ministry said on Friday that Turkey was also pleased with the joint declaration signed at the end of the summit.
The statement noted that holding the meeting in Sarajevo was meaningful and expressed pleasure with not only the summit but also the joint declaration signed at the end of the summit.
''This significant meeting which we believe as the concrete indicator that the wounds of past have started to be healed is considered as a historic step for strengthening of compromise and cooperation among three countries as well as improvement of peace and stability in the Balkans,'' the statement added.
