ANKARA (A.A) - 18.07.2002 - Parliament Speaker Omer Izgi called on Thursday the parliament for an extraordinary meeting on July 22, 2002.
Izgi called on the parliament for an extraordinary meeting at 2.00 p.m. on July 22, 2002 upon the application of True Path Party (DYP) and Justice and Development Party (AK Party).
Absolute majority has to be ensured at the general assembly meeting on July 22. If 184 deputies do not attend the meeting, the parliament will not have any deliberations.
The ruling parties have taken a decision not to attend the general assembly meeting on July 22 while preparations are under way for the meeting of the parliament on August 1.
