Chief Rabbi Asseo Passes Away

ISTANBUL (A.A) - 15.07.2002 - Chief Rabbi David Asseo passed away late on Sunday.
Releasing a statement, Chief Rabbi's Office said on Monday that a funeral would take place for Asseo at 11:00 a.m. on July 17 at Istanbul's Neve Shalom Synagogue.
Asseo will be laid to rest the same day in Ulus Jewish Cemetery in Etiler district of Istanbul.
David Asseo had been serving as chief rabbi in Turkey since December 7, 1961.
