Turkish Textile Products In New York

ISTANBUL (A.A) - 13.07.2002 - The Second Istanbul Textile and Raw Material Exporters' Association (ITHIB) New York Textile Products Fair will be held in New York between July 15 and 17.
A statement of ITHIB said on Saturday that Turkish textile enterpreneurs and American buyers met in New York Textile Fair in January 2002 and that 37 Turkish companies had joined that fair.
The statement noted that 2,000 people from 700 American companies visited that fair.
There were representatives of many international textile companies like Tommy Hillfiger, Donna Karan New York, Liz Claiborne, Wal-Mart, Gap Internationa, JC Penny, Adidas, Calvin Klein, Banana Republic and Nine West among those who visited the first fair, the statement pointed out.
The statement said that 57 Turkish companies would join the second fair and expressed expectation that around 4,000 people would visit the fair.
