ANKARA (A.A) - 13.07.2002 - Istanbul deputy Zafer Gurel resigned on Saturday from Democratic Left Party (DSP).
Thus, the number of deputies who have resigned from DSP increased to 46 while the number of seats occupied by DSP at the parliament fell to 82.
Guler had resigned from his party in the previous days but withdrew his resignation by saying that ''new formation was not a left formation.''
Zafer Gurel told A.A correspondent that he resigned from DSP in order to contribute to the movement and said that social democratic principles were in parallel with Ismail Cem's views.
When he was reminded about his statement that ''new formation was not a left formation'', Guler said, ''Ismail Cem was not in this formation those days.''
