State Minister Dervis Withdraws His Resignation

ANKARA (A.A) - 11.07.2002 - Kemal Dervis who earlier quit as state minister for economy declared that he withdrew his resignation after the President's and Prime Minister's request.
Releasing a statement on Thursday, Dervis recalled that he had gone to the Prime Ministry Residence in the afternoon upon Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit's invitation.
''Following my meeting with Prime Minister Ecevit, I submitted my letter of resignation also by taking into consideration the Prime Minister's opinions about the latest economic developments. However, I withdrew my resignation after the President's and Prime Minister's request,'' Dervis said.
