ANKARA (A.A) - 11.07.2002 - Number of deputies who resigned from the Democratic Left Party (DSP) has increased to 41 as of 06.00 p.m. on Thursday.
Foreign Minister Ismail Cem resigned from his post and the DSP.
Also, Tarik Cengiz, Hasan Fehmi Konyali, Ahmet Zamantili, Parliamentary Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Affairs Commission Chairman Mahmut Erdir and Bekir Gundogan are the deputies who resigned from the DSP today.
A total of 15 people resigned from the DSP on July 8, 17 people on July 9, 3 people on July 10 and 6 people on July 11.
Following the resignations, number of DSP deputies decreased from 128 to 87. Number of members of coalition partners decreased to 293. The Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) has 127 deputies, and the Motherland Party has 79 deputies.
