ANKARA (A.A) - 09.07.2002 - State Minister Kemal Dervis called on all politicians to act with common sense and moderation for the good of the country.
Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit and Dervis had a meeting at the Prime Ministry Residence that lasted about 25 minutes.
Dervis told reporters that he briefed Ecevit about the latest economic developments and the recent symposium he attended at the Greek island of Samos.
''What is important is the Turkish economy and the prosperity of the Turkish people,'' he said.
Dervis said people should be moderate and civilized in their discussions and try to listen to each other's views.
''Prime Minister Ecevit has always been a good example with his style. He was never disrespectful to anyone. I'm still new in this field but there are people who are more experienced than I am in efforts to find a solution.''
