ANKARA (A.A) - 08.07.2002 - Istanbul Parliamentarian Husamettin Ozkan said on Monday that he has never been in an effort to split up Democratic Left Party (DSP).
Ozkan, made a brief statement to journalists. When asked if DSP would be splitted up, Ozkan said, ''I have never been in an effort to split up DSP.''
Responding to a question what kind of a future was waiting for DSP, Ozkan said, ''I have given priority to deal with the problems of the country so far. This should not have happened when the economic situation is taken into consideration.''
Ozkan said he would continue his political life as parliamentarian. When asked if a new party or a political formation was in question, Ozkan said, ''future will show it.''
Responding to a question how his resignation will effect the government, Ozkan said, ''I hope it will not.''
When asked if he was hurt by Rahsan Ecevit, Ozkan refrained from responding to the question.
