One U.S. Dollar Increases To 1 Million 680 Tl

ISTANBUL (A.A) - 08.07.2002 - Price of one U.S. dollar increased to 1 million 680 thousand Turkish liras (TL) in the free market in Istanbul on Monday.
On Friday, 1 U.S. dollar was 1 million 613 thousand TL.
Selling price of 1 U.S. dollar started at 1 million 670 thousand TL, and increased up to 1 million 680 thousand TL.
Sources said that State Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahceli's statements about early elections affected the markets negatively.
Meanwhile, the Istanbul Stock Exchange (IMKB) National-100 Index in the first half hour of Monday's first session decreased 512.76 points from 9,351.16 to 8,776.09, and shares lost 5.48 percent.
