ANKARA (A.A) - 06.07.2002 - EU Commission's Turkey Representative Karen Fogg ended her four years in office and left Turkey on Saturday.
Speaking at Esenboga Airport, Fogg said that she was very happy for being in Turkey which was a wonderful country. ''I am very sorry as I leave, but Turkey can look after herself without me,'' she said.
Fogg said that she expects Turkey to develop, adding that Turkey has a great potential.
Fogg added that she hoped to come back to Turkey for holiday.
Fogg who left Esenboga Airport for Brussels, will later proceed to her country, Britain. Fogg will be the secretary general of Swedish Democracy and Election Assistancy Institute in Stockholm from now on.
German diplomat Hansjoerg Kretschmer who will start his term in office as the new EU Commission's Turkey Representative is expected to start his mission at the end of summer.
