Turkish - Greek Friendship Concert Held In Ephesus Ancient Theatre

IZMIR (A.A) - 06.07.2002 - The Turkish-Greek Friendship Concert which was organized by Turkey Promotion, Research, Democracy and Secular Formation Foundation (TULOV) was held in Ephesus Ancient Theatre by cooperation between Athens Symphony Orchestra and Izmir State Opera and Ballet on Friday night.
Culture Minister Istemihan Talay who attended the concert said that the holding of Turkish-Greek friendship concert in the magnificent atmosphere of Ephesus Ancient Theatre had great importance.
Talay said that they planned with Athens mayor Dimitris Avromopoulos to organize a similar concert in Athens in September 2002, adding that they would do their best to strengethen this friendship.
Athens mayor Avromopolous said in his part that the friendship between the two countries would last for long years, adding that ''there is no need for politicians to speak here, as culture which speaks here.''
