ANKARA (A.A) - 03.07.2002 - State Minister for Economy Kemal Dervis said on Tuesday that the discussions would be more regular with the establishment of working groups envisaged in the law within the framework of Economic and Social Council.
Dervis met with the Chairman of the Confederation of Turkish Labour Unions (Turk-Is) Bayram Meral, the Chairman of Labour Confederation (Hak-Is) Salim Uslu, and the Chairman of the Confederation of Revolutionary Workers' Party (DISK) for 3,5 hours.
Speaking after the meeting, Dervis said they discussed various micro problems of the sector as well as the economic problems.
Dervis said there was delay in solution of many problems, stressing that they listened to the views of unionists on those issues.
When asked if they put forward a view that ''elections would overcome uncertainty'', Uslu said, ''we had pointed out such an idea.''
When asked what Dervis thought about this, Uslu said, ''Dervis thinks an election date would overcome the uncertainty.''
