Turkey To Play With South Korea In Saturday's Playoff For Third Place

SAITAMA (A.A) - 26.06.2002 - Turkey, who was defeated by Brazil 1-0 in World Cup semi-final on Wednesday, will play with South Korea in Saturday's playoff for third place.
Meanwhile, Brazil became the second finalist following Germany. The two teams will have a match in Yokohama, Japan on Sunday.
Turkey will meet South Korea in playoff for third place in Daegu, South Korea, on Saturday.
ECEVIT CONGRATULATES NATIONAL SOCCER TEAM
Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit said on Wednesday that the footballers and administrators of Turkish national soccer team were very successful in the World Cup and he congratulated them.
Ecevit published a message of congratulation for the success of the Turkish national soccer team in World Cup, noting that ''the footballers and administrators should not be sorry for not winning the match today. They represented Turkey very well in the World Cup. I would like to thank to our national soccer team once again for their success. I also wish success to our team during the match they will play with South Korea in playoff for third place.''
