New Minimum Wage Announced

ANKARA (A.A) - 26.06.2002 - The Minimum Wage Fixing Commission announced the new gross and net minimum wage which will be valid beginning on July 1, 2002.
According to decision of the commission, the new gross minimum wage for workers older than 16 will be 250 million 875 thousand Turkish liras (TL) and net minimum wage for those workers will be 184 million 251 thousand 937 TL.
The gross minimum wage for employees younger than 16 will be 213 million 210 thousand TL and net minimum wage for those workers will be 157 million 264 thousand 965 TL.
