LEFKOSA (A.A) - 25.06.2002 - President Rauf Denktas of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and Greek Cypriot administration leader Glafcos Clerides met again on Tuesday in the buffer zone in Cyprus to take up the issue of territory.
Responding questions of reporters prior to the meeting, Denktas said that they would listen to the Greek Cypriot side's opinions. Stressing that the opinion of the Turkish Cypriot side was clear, Denktas said, ''we are discussing the principle sovereignty and our talks continue.''
When reminded about Clerides's statement in which he said that he wanted to discuss the whole Belgian model, Denktas said that Belgian model would be discussed at their meeting on Friday. ''Discussion does not mean acceptance. Let's discuss the whole Belgian model. Let's see if this model includes factors in favor of us. Exchange of opinion does not harm people.''
