Ecevit: Turkish Football Now Can't Be Satisfied With Semifinal

ANKARA (A.A) - 22.06.2002 - Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit said on Saturday that Turkish football would reach the final point at the World Cup, stressing that Turkish football now could not be satisfied with semifinal.
Speaking to the state-run TRT-1 television channel on the phone, Ecevit evaluated Turkey's 1-0 victory against Senegal in the quarterfinal.
Noting that this victory honored the Turkish nation, Ecevit thanked technical staff and footballers.
''This will not be the last success of our football players and they will reach the final point. I wish them success,'' Ecevit added.
