ANKARA (A.A) - 19.06.2002 - Treasury Undersecretariat said on Wednesday that the new letter of intent would be sent to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) after it was signed by State Minister for Economy Kemal Dervis and Central Bank Governor Sureyya Serdengecti.
The letter of intent includes the latest point reached in economic programme and the works that will be carried out in the coming period.
Treasury statement said IMF Executive Directors Board would convene in the coming days and was expected to discuss second review.
The statement said in case the review was approved by the Executive Directors Board, approximately 1.1 billion U.S. dollars loan tranche would be released.
Meanwhile, it was reported that a delegation headed by IMF's Turkey Desk Chief Juha Kahkonen would come to Turkey on July 10 under the third review talks.
