Ecevit Not To Attend N.S.C. Meeting

ANKARA (A.A) - 30.05.2002 - Prime Minister will not attend the monthly meeting of National Security Council (NSC) on Thursday.
Prime Ministry Press Consultant Cem Avci made a statement after Prime Minister Ecevit underwent his regular morning health examination.
Avci noted, ''doctors said that it will not be appropriate for Prime Minister Ecevit to attend a meeting that can be last for hours. Therefore, Prime Minister Ecevit will not attend today's meeting of NSC.''
Avci added that Prime Minister Ecevit called President Ahmet Necdet Sezer on phone, and told him that he could not be in attendance at the meeting.
