Turkish Troops Arrive In Afghanistan

KABUL (A.A) - 25.05.2002 - A part of the thousand-member Turkish troop which will get the command of International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) from Britain in Afghanistan arrived in Kabul on Saturday.
ISAF Spokesman British Lieutenant Jol Fall said that the 65-member Turkish military personnel arrived in Kabul airport.
Turkish Major Murat Pekgulec said in his part the other group would arrive in Kabul on May 28.
A total of 1200 Turkish soldiers will be charged in Afghanistan.
The ISAF command will be transferred from Britain to Turkey next month, yet a definite date has not been announced for that.
