A New Leftist Party To Be Founded

ANKARA (A.A) - 23.05.2002 - A new party under leadership of Murat Karayalcin will be founded in the left.
Sources said on Thursday that the foundation petition of the ''Social Democratic People's Party (SHP)'' would be submitted to the Interior Ministry on Friday.
Human profile and an olive branch will be the emblem of the new party that has 180 founder members including 14 doctors, 28 engineers, 12 lawyers, 15 tutors, 14 economists, 6 auditors, 8 professors, 21 industrialists and businessmen, 3 journalists, 2 pharmacists, 2 housewomen, 8 artisans and farmers, 2 retired officers, 3 unionists, 1 retired ambassador.
After submission of the foundation petition, Murat Karayalcin will hold a press conference.
