Explosion In Tupras Refinery Kills A Worker

IZMIR (A.A) - 20.05.2002 - One worker died and another one was injured in the explosion that took place due to gas compression in Turkish Refineries Corp. (TUPRAS) in Aliaga town of western Izmir province on Monday.
The explosion took place when there was repair and cleaning in one of the tank units of the refinery.
Mehmet Kil (25) died immediately in the scene, while Ali Hidir Karakas (24) was seriously injured.
An investigation is underway about the explosion.
