VIENNA (A.A) - 19.05.2002 - State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Devlet Bahceli opened on Saturday the Turkish House in Austria.
The Turkish House was built in Gaensendorf by Austrian Turkish Federation.
Speaking in the inauguration ceremony, Bahceli said that 135 thousand Turkish citizens living in Austria accepted that country as their second land.
Bahceli noted that Turkish community in Austria had recorded significant developments and said, ''Turkish citizens continue their lives in this country in harmony with Austrian community and respect the laws. I would like to express pride and happiness about this.''
Turkish citizens showed importance and paid attention to education, Bahceli stated.
Bahceli said, ''we want Turkish people living in Austria to live in harmony with Austrian community, to have equal rights with them and to protect their national and morale values.''
BAHCELI CALLS ON TURKISH BUSINESSMEN IN AUSTRIA TO INVEST IN TURKEY
Bahceli met with Turkish businessmen and chairmen of several associations at a dinner held at Hilton Vienna by Austrian Turkish Federation and informed the participants about investment possibilities and economic situation in Turkey.
Addressing Turkish businessmen, Bahceli said, ''I expect you to direct foreign capital to Turkey either by consortia that you will set up with other enterprises or by yourself.''
''We could have direct foreign capital if uncertainties in Turkey were overcome and appropriate maco-economic environment occurred,'' Bahceli noted.
