Ecevit To Visit Pakistan And Afghanistan

ANKARA (A.A) - 16.05.2002 - Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit will visit Pakistan and Afghanistan between May 23 and 25.
Ecevit's press consultant Cem Avci said that Ecevit would leave for Pakistani capital Islamabad on May 23.
Ecevit, who will hold a serial of contacts in Pakistan between May 23 and 24, will fly to Afghanistan on May 25.
He will meet with Afghan interim government leader Hamid Kharzai.
Ecevit will return to Turkey after wrapping up his contacts in this country.
Democratic Left Party (DSP) deputy leader and his wife Rahsan Ecevit and a delegation will accompany him.
Ecevit talked with Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Rauf Denktas who phoned him on Thursday morning.
Prime Minister Ecevit called President Ahmet Necdet Sezer due to his weekly regular meeting day.
