BODRUM (A.A) - 14.05.2002 - The award ceremony of the Third Aegean Water Sports Festival which took place in Bodrum between May 10-12 and in which sportsmen and sportswomen from Bodrum and Kos island of Greece had participated was held on Monday at the Disco Halikarnas.
Speaking at the ceremony, Bodrum's Head Official Cumhur Guven Tasbasi said that the Aegean Sea was sea without borders between Turkey and Greece, adding, ''this festival consolidates the friendship between the Turkish and Greek peoples.''
Meanwhile, Kos Mayor Mitiadis Fakos said that the fourth year activities of the festival would be held in Kos island, adding that nobody should doubt that they would show the same hospitality they had seen in Bodrum to their Turkish guests in Kos.
The winning teams at the Third Aegean Water Sports Festival are as follows:
Jet ski: Vangelis Drosses-Rezzek Gurkan
Water ski: Endokia Liakos-Atilla Bayer
Underwater cleaning: Stewe Withfield, Thomas Nilson, Osman Bilgin and Ethem Savas
Sailboat: Salih Cakir, Spiros Emanuel, Huseyin Ozsu and Sera Ellen.
