BRUSSELS (A.A) - 13.05.2002 - National Defense Minister Sabahattin Cakmakoglu arrived in Brussels on Monday to attend the meeting of defense ministers of European Union (EU) member and candidate countries.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday. Military capabilities and the contributions of the candidate countries to European Security and Defense Policy (ESDP) will be taken up at the meeting.
European defense capability, EU crisis management operations, cooperation in armament, and NATO-EU relations are the issues on the agenda of the meeting.
EU continues its efforts to create a European Emergency Intervention Force comprised of 60 thousand soldiers till 2003.
Cakmakoglu will depart from Belgium on Wednesday.
