Taekwondo: Tuncer Of Turkey Becomes European Champion

SAMSUN (A.A) - 06.05.2002 - Mert Tuncer of Turkey competing in the men's 54 kg category became European champion in the 14th Men's and 13th Women's European Taekwondo Championships in northern province of Samsun on Monday.
Tuncer beat Juan Antonio Romos of Spain in the final.
Meanwhile, Guler Gencturkoglu competing in the women's 72 kg category won bronze medal after being beaten by Natalia Ivanova of Russia.
