NEW YORK (A.A) - 05.05.2002 - Aziz Dogdu has become the first Turish poet who has ever been admitted to the American Poets Society, the world's most prestigious literary society.
Two American literary magazines The Coffee Press Journal and Poetry Journal gave coverage to Dogdu in their April issues. Dogdu, who is a graduate of Bilkent University's British Language and Literature, drew the attention of American literary circles with his poem A Different Love.
Editor of Michael Abbey who published a criticism in the Letters From the Soul publication of the Interantional Poetry Library, wrote ''A Different Love is an excellent poem telling a sadist love full of torture which is hard to experience.''
Dogdu's works will also be published in another magazine titled Wellsprings.
One of the leading critics of the American literature world James Brown said ''Dogdu is a poet at a different dimension.''
Dogdu is also preparing a poetry album of three CDs called The Voice of Poetry.
He has also been invited to an International Poets Convention and Symposium.
