Middle East Conference To Be Held In Turkey, Israel Radio Reports

JERUSALEM - A planned international Middle East conference attended by Israel, Palestinians and moderate Arab states will be held in Turkey, Israel Radio reported Saturday.
U.S. officials have suggested the conference will take place early June.
Israeli officials were not immediately available for comment. A Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman said Turkey had offered to host the conference, but he had no knowledge of such a decision. U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell announced the plan Thursday, with the support of U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan, leaders of the European Union and Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov.
